Been awful busy lately

Here’s what I have been up to lately. Basically nothing extra to take my time except puppets. And it’s been a blast!

I’m super excited about how this first puppets eyes turned out. In the words of my two year old, “Wow, YEAH!!”

This next purple puppet’s crazy hair is how I kinda feel right now. I am all sorts of frazzled. And I’m sure my hair looks about the same.

Trying out some new things with hair. Tried a puppet with just eyebrows. It really helps to bring out his facial expressions. I am loving the pig tails(with removable and interchangeable hair “ties”). While my husband is liking this guys visor.

And these two have some eyes that I have been getting better and more creative at while still making them fun and appealing.

Hope your all enjoying these puppets as much as I am!

New Critter Pillow/Blanket for Sale!

P7150317

Great for at home, or on the go!

I have started making a new project and am loving them. These blankets have a pillow inside of them that makes traveling super fun. Just unzip the zipper by the feet and pull the pillow out. Then zip it back up and your kid has a pillow, blanket, and a fun soft friend to travel with. And best of all you don’t have to grab a million things to travel with those cute loved ones.

This blanket has a bear print on one side, and soft plain brown fabric that matches the bear on the other side.

Watch for more of these critter pillow/blankets in the near future!

Just finished today! Critter pillow/blanket

Here is another critter pillow/blanket that I just finished today. I live literally just a mile away from Yellowstone park. And the one animal that is abundant here that is harder to find wild herds in the rest of the lower 48 is the bison. And so my second critter pillow/blanket is the bison. The fuzzy hair part of this guy is from the softest material.

I just love how he turned out. And evidently so does my 2 year old son. He keeps on trying to get the “bubbalo”.

Here are a few puppets that have recently found themselves some homes. I hope that their new friends are enjoying them!

So this gal found a home with a lady who was working for the summer here in town. Hope that her grandkiddos love this one!

This puppet now has arms and is a resident in Helena, Montana. Hopefully he/she will be put to good use. I am excited to hear what it ends up doing.

Here are a few of the puppets that I have for sale (aside from those selling in stores). I hope that they will find their wonderful homes soon.

I have been trying out some new techniques in puppet building. They take more time, energy, and supplies, but I think that the puppets are looking even better! Let me know what you think!

This guy has eyes made out of model magic. It is a new medium that continues to amaze me. The eyes are more realistic looking, and draw the audience into his face more to help him be more believable.

I personally LOVE this cow. It is a trial run for a custom puppet I am making. I still have to make his arms and hooves, but wanted you all to see how his progress is coming. (And yes...He will have a more manly bandanna.) I will post a picture when he's all done. Let me know what you think so far!

My next project I am still thinking on. I am trying to decide since we are so close to Yellowstone if I should make a bear, buffalo, or other creature. But I'll be sure to keep you posted.
These puppets are a few of my favorite. They have already been sold, but will give you an idea on what puppets may look like.

I make puppets for all ages to enjoy. The arm rods are easily removable for younger puppeteers. All puppets are made without a pattern as to insure that each one is truly a unique creation. I hope that you will enjoy this blog as I share some of my new friends.
